Elephants Ear

LIGHT:  Bright, filtered light is required to maintain colourful pattern.  No direct sunlight. 

WATERING:  Water well during the growing season but do not soak.  As the leaves start to fall in Autumn reduce water intake and allow the plant to dry out slightly between watering. 

NUTRIENT:  Use a weak solution of liquid fertilizer during the growing season, do not feed during Winter.  A fertilizer high in nitrogen will help intensify the colour in the leaves. 

TEMPERATURE & HUMIDITY:  During the growing period maintain high humidity and temperatures no less than 18 degrees.  Do not let the temperature fall below 13 degrees. 

SIZE  Will depend on the variety.
